Data We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information you choose to provide (such as your bio, specializations, certifications, and profile photos).
For coaches: We collect information about your coaching programs, client relationships, marketplace listings, and subscription/billing details processed through Stripe.
For athletes: We collect workout session data, personal records, and training history logged through IronLedger that you share with your coach.
We also collect standard usage data such as browser type, IP address, pages visited, and device information to improve the platform experience.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and maintain the IronCoaching platform
- Connect coaches with athletes and facilitate coaching relationships
- Display your public coach profile on the marketplace (coaches only)
- Generate analytics, performance dashboards, and AI-powered insights from training data
- Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
- Send account-related communications (password resets, billing updates, invite notifications)
- Improve the platform based on usage patterns
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your training data for advertising purposes.
Data Sharing
Coach-athlete relationship: When an athlete accepts a coach's invite, the coach gains access to that athlete's training data (workouts, personal records, compliance metrics). This data sharing is limited to the active coaching relationship.
Public marketplace: Coach profiles, including name, bio, specializations, ratings, and program listings, are publicly visible on the marketplace.
Service providers: We share data with trusted service providers necessary to operate the platform: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Vercel (hosting), and Mux (video processing for Expert plan).
We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and platform.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption
- Row-level security (RLS) policies ensure users can only access their own data
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never stored on our servers
- Security headers enforced (HSTS, X-Frame-Options, Content Security Policy)
- Regular security audits of the platform
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored on the platform
- Update your profile information at any time through your dashboard
- Delete your account and associated data by contacting support
- Export your program data and training history
- Disconnect from a coaching relationship at any time, which revokes the coach's access to your training data

IronCoaching uses essential cookies to maintain your authenticated session and ensure the platform functions correctly. These cookies are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.
