Per-Set Form-Check Videos

Athletes attach a short form-check video to any set inside a completed session. The video travels with the set — exercise, set number, session, and week — so coaches can review it in context without fuzzy-matching a clip from the chat thread.
Per-set form-check videos require a coach on the Pro or Expert plan. Basic-tier coaches do not get the feature for their athletes.

For Athletes — Attaching a Video

You film with your phone’s normal camera during the set, then attach the clip post-workout from your camera roll.
  1. Open the History tab in IronLedger (or the session detail on web)
  2. Pick the completed session you want to review
  3. Each set row shows a small camera icon on the right
  4. Tap the camera icon and pick the clip from your camera roll
  5. The upload starts in the background — you can keep browsing the session
There is no in-app recording. Use your phone’s system camera while lifting, then attach after the workout.

Upload Status

The camera icon reflects where the upload is at:
  • Uploading N% — the file is transferring from your phone
  • Waiting… — upload finished, waiting for Mux to start processing
  • Processing · 0:14 — Mux is encoding (elapsed time shown)
  • Failed — something went wrong; tap Retry to re-upload from the same file
  • Ready — the thumbnail appears on the set row
If an upload gets stuck in “Waiting” for more than a minute or two, tap Retry. The client re-uses the cached file — you don’t have to pick it again.

One Video per Set

Each set holds a single video. Attaching a new clip to a set that already has one replaces the previous clip. If you need to keep the original, ask your coach to promote it first (see below).

For Coaches — Reviewing Videos

In the Workout Sessions Panel

Open an athlete from Dashboard > Clients and scroll to their Workout Sessions panel. Any set with a form-check video shows an inline thumbnail on the set row. Click the thumbnail to play the video with the full set context (exercise, set number, reps/weight, session date).

Inside the Weekly Review

When you open the video linker in a weekly review, you’ll see a From workouts section listing recent set videos from the athlete. Each is pre-tagged with exercise + set number so you don’t have to hunt for it. Pinning a set video into a review automatically promotes it to Kept (see Storage below), so it survives even after the 30-day retention window.

Storage & Retention

Set videos default to a form-check pool that does not count against your coach video storage quota. The trade-off: videos in the pool auto-delete after 30 days.
StateCounts against your storage?Retention
Form-check pool (default)NoAuto-deleted after 30 days
Kept / Pinned to reviewYesKept as long as your plan’s storage holds it

Promoting a Video to Kept

Two ways to persist a set video past the 30-day window:
  1. Keep it directly — click the Keep button on the video. The clip moves out of the form-check pool and into your coach storage.
  2. Pin it into a weekly review — selecting a set video inside a review automatically promotes it to Kept.
Once promoted, the video counts against your Pro (60 min) or Expert (300 min) video storage quota. If you hit the limit, purchase add-on blocks at $5 per 60 minutes — see Video Storage.

Privacy & Visibility

Set videos are visible only to the athlete and their coach. Nobody outside the coach-athlete pair can see them, and they never appear on a public profile or in the marketplace.

Limits at a Glance

  • One video per set (uploading a new one overwrites the previous)
  • No in-app recording — film with your phone’s system camera
  • Athletes can delete their own clips at any time
  • 30-day auto-delete on form-check pool videos
  • Kept / pinned videos count against the coach’s video storage quota
