Every video uploaded in IronCoaching — whether through messaging or weekly reviews — is automatically transcribed and chaptered.

Auto-Transcription

When a video finishes processing, Mux auto-generates a timestamped transcript. The transcript appears as a Transcript tab alongside the Annotations tab in the video detail modal.

  • The active segment highlights as the video plays
  • Supports English with 27 additional languages in beta

AI-Generated Chapters

After the transcript is ready, Claude AI analyzes the content and generates 3-7 topic chapters. Chapters appear as markers in the video player’s scrub bar, letting coaches and athletes jump between topics. For example, a 7-minute coaching feedback video might get chapters like:
  • Intro & Program Notes
  • Squat Form Review
  • Overhead Press Technique
  • Off-Season Training Philosophy
  • Next Week’s Adjustments

How It Works

  1. Coach uploads or records a video
  2. Mux processes the video and generates captions
  3. A webhook notifies IronCoaching when the transcript is ready
  4. Claude Haiku analyzes the transcript and creates chapter markers
  5. Chapters are uploaded back to Mux and appear in the player automatically
No action required from the coach — everything happens automatically after upload.
Transcription is included at no extra cost for all video uploads. Chapter generation uses Claude Haiku.
